Kerkez and his father added to list of "enemies of Ukraine" following controversy

Liverpool full-back included on "Myrotvorets" platform list

Hungarian international footballer Milos Kerkez, who plays for Liverpool, and his father, Sebastijan Kerkez, have been included in the Ukrainian database "Myrotvorets", which identifies individuals deemed hostile to Ukraine. The development follows an incident during the recent Hungary-Ukraine match and a subsequent post by the player's father.

The situation began during Ukraine's victory in Hungary on 25 September, in the opening round of Nations League Group B2. Kerkez became involved in an altercation with Viktor Tsygankov and Mykola Matviyenko, coming to the defence of Dominik Szoboszlai, Hungary's captain and his Liverpool teammate, in stoppage time.

Following the match, Sebastijan Kerkez posted footage of the clash on social media accompanied by the song "Russian Paradise" by the Russian group AK-47. The post was interpreted as a provocation given the war between Russia and Ukraine, escalating the on-pitch incident away from the pitch.

"Myrotvorets" subsequently included father and son in its database, associating them with positions favourable to Russian aggression. The platform is frequently referred to as a list of "enemies of Ukraine", but it is not an official body of the Ukrainian state and operates independently.
